Modern societies have gradually moved from funding of institutions and organizations to funding of projects. Hence a forest of funding institutions have been established, nationally and internationally. In Norway we often work with Innovation Norway, the Norwegian Research Council, Regional Research Funds, Enova, and others. To achieve loans from banks we may like to seek assistance from Exfin – the Norwegian State Guarantee instrument supporting export. Similar constructions are to be found in other countries, though with a myriad of variations, regulations and procedures. In addition, there are many cross-border funding – and guarantee institutions within EU / EEA, AID institutions, Development Banks and World Bank instruments available. VCS has worked with all major Norwegian funding institutions and most cross-border institutions within Europe (EU/EEA/EBRD). We have also worked with US Aid and IDB.
